About the Event

A circular 3 hour walk (approx) at Linn Falls and the surrounding Woodland.

Difficulty: Easy (about 3km (2miles) with some gentle inclines at times)

What the Story Walk Offers:

  • We will take some time to take in the surroundings, sit by the pool and falls, in the beautiful wodland.
  • I will tell you a few oral traditional stories, and read you a poem or two.
  • You will learn about the folklore of the trees and plants, and a little about fraging too.
  • We will slow down, rather than speed up. This walk encourages re-enchantment with stories, the natural worls and yourself
  • Sacred Relationship with Nature and Stories
  • The stories I share with you will be old traditional European stories that feature forests, rivers, enchantment, magic and quests. They will be folktales, wondertales and myths. If you are unfamilar with my work, you may wish to check out my free story podacst the Story Apothecary first.

About Me:

I am a qualified Lowland Leader and a Mountain Leader trainee, and work within the guidelines of the Mountain Training Association.

I am a professional oral storyteller, specialising on themes of nature connection and the Woman's Quest.

I have been doing my own wilderness work for the last 7 years with a Wilderness Guide and mentor. I love the outdoors and nature, I enjoying foraging and I love telling stories outdoors. I will take you on a magical experience combining nature and stories.

I am experienced in leading groups and holding space, and have an outdoor first aid certificate; insurance and an enhanced DBS check. I also have an ethnobotany Level 4 qualification, which means I know a lot about plants - their eses, medicine and folklore.
